2011 was a great year for the Hobbs family! Here are some of the highlights:

We welcomed sweet Nathan to our family in March. He is a very happy little boy and loves his brothers. 

We were blessed to have all the Grandparents come out when Nate was 3 weeks old to see him be blessed by Doug.

Nate is now army crawling everywhere, much to his brothers dismay. They have had to learn to keep things up high if they don't want a little helper.

Danny is 3 and is at my favorite age. He always has something funny to say and loves to laugh.

 He has defiantly missed Jacob when he is gone to school, but I have really enjoyed having more one on one time with him. I think he has also enjoyed getting to go shopping and out to lunch more with Mom too.

Danny loves to play with his brothers, but can also be found often playing by himself.

Jacob is 5 and started Kindergarten this year. He has loved learning new things at school and has enjoyed getting to ride the bus with Andrew to school. Jacob goes to school Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week. I love that I have him home 2 days to play with Danny.

Jacob is learning to play the piano this year and likes to learn new songs to play for Dad.

 Jacob also loves to play with Nate. I have to often remind him that Nate is not quite big enough to wrestle.

Andrew is 7 and in 2nd grade. Andrew loves to read. His favorite books are Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

 Andrew's favorite thing about school is recess. He loves to play soccer, kickball and any other sport that others are playing.

 Andrew has also started to learn how to play the piano and is enjoying learning something new.

I'm still the Primary President for our church which has kept me very busy. Between running the boys to karate, basketball or soccer and teaching them piano, I seem to keep myself fairly busy.

 I have loved taking the boys to the zoo, pumpkin patch, story time and any other thing to get us out of the house.

 I'm very grateful that Nate at 8 months finally started to sleep through the night. It was a long, sleepless first 8 months.

Doug is still working for SuperValu and keeping the grocery business in order.

 Doug enjoyed taking Andrew and Jacob individually to 4 Twins games. Someday Doug will have season tickets to a baseball team.

 Doug finished this August his MBA. Just when he thought he would have some extra time, he was called to serve in Webelos. He also teaches in Primary on Sunday.

While we were in Utah I surprised him with a family party to celebrate his graduation. You can tell by the look on his face, he was thrilled with the surprise.

This past summer we were lucky enough to make the drive out to Utah twice. The first time we went out to visit our families and also be there for Doug's best friend, Brandon's wedding.

The boys and I spent a week in Cedar visiting my parents. We rode the 4-wheeler, went to a museum and played outside lots with Grandma and Grandpa Stott. The highlight was Grandpa taking Andrew and Jacob to a rodeo.

 We spent a week in Logan with Doug's family running through the sprinklers, ridding horses and a family bbq. We also got together with Doug's friends from high school.

Our second trip out to Utah was for our niece, Shalane's wedding. On our way out we decided to take it a little slower and stop in Rapid City and see Mt. Rushmore.

 The boys thought it was so fun to actually stay in a hotel on our way out. They loved playing in the pool at the hotel.

 While in Logan, Doug took Andrew, Jacob and Danny on a hike up to the Wind Caves up Logan Canyon.

In December we decided to get away and go on a little vacation up to Duluth. We stayed at a hotel with a water park. At night we went to the community light show. The boys loved to see Santa and tell him what they were wanting.

 The light show was incredible! The boys want to make this a family tradition every year.
